Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club (TEC): Community-Led Entrepreneurship and Development Programs in Lebanon

Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club community program participants in North Lebanon

About TEC

Where Jadwa06 began

A community-led startup ecosystem founded in Tripoli in 2013 — the foundation everything that became Jadwa06 was built on.

Founded in 2013, Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club (TEC) is a community-led startup ecosystem that helped shape one of North Lebanon's earliest structured entrepreneurship support communities. By bringing together youth, entrepreneurs, institutions, and international partners through training programs, innovation activities, hackathons, and community development initiatives, TEC expanded access to skills, livelihood opportunities, and professional networks for thousands of participants in Tripoli and across North Lebanon. This work later laid the foundation for what evolved into Jadwa06, while TEC continues today to contribute to consortium-based programs supporting entrepreneurship, employability, women's economic empowerment, and community-driven opportunity creation in collaboration with regional and international partners including AFD, DANIDA, and the Norwegian Refugee Council.

Community-Driven Urban Recovery and Livelihood Support in Lebanon

What is the Haretna Program?

Haretna (حارتنا) is a consortium-based livelihood and community development program in Lebanon that strengthens the capacity of local communities to identify their priorities and implement impactful initiatives. The program supports locally led social change through stronger social cohesion, vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and employability programs targeting vulnerable populations including women, youth, and refugees in underserved Lebanese neighborhoods.

Jadwa06's Role in Haretna

Jadwa06, through TEC, contributes to the design and implementation of structured capacity-building and livelihood development pathways across three target areas in Lebanon. Working in coordination with consortium partners, Jadwa06 delivers vocational training, entrepreneurship education, and employability programs that create sustainable impact and meaningful participation opportunities for community members.

Program Structure

Three Training Tracks

01

Technical Skills Track

Supports participants in developing practical technical skills aligned with labor market needs in Lebanon, including handicrafts, digital marketing, and food production. Participants are connected to vocational training opportunities that strengthen their chances of entering the workforce.

02

Employability Track

Strengthens behavioral, interpersonal, and professional skills that help participants prepare for the workplace. Covers CV writing, interview preparation, cover letter development, and professional communication skills essential for employment readiness in Lebanon's competitive job market.

03

Entrepreneurship Track

Supports participants in developing business ideas or strengthening existing small projects through structured entrepreneurship training in Arabic, mentoring support, in-kind grants, and intensive bootcamps that guide participants from ideation to implementation.

Knowledge Sustainability Library

Free Arabic Entrepreneurship and Business Training Resources

The Haretna program contributes to a growing online knowledge library that includes training session recordings, summarized learning materials in Arabic, downloadable business templates, and participant case studies. This library is designed to extend access to entrepreneurship and employability education beyond direct program beneficiaries, making quality Arabic-language business training resources freely available to anyone in Lebanon and the region.
